Filter change
When doing a filter change on Cat 3516's, does anyone else rotate the Aux. filter out and place that filter into the main filter housing along with two new ones, and then put a new filter into the Aux filter housing. I have been on vessels where we did not touch the Aux filters and only replaced the...

Seems to be a wide range I have hea...

Tank Tonic
We have drums of Tank Tonic, a fuel biocide and fungicide additive. When I opened up the drums the top 1/3 or so had crystallized. About all I can find so far is it needs to be stored at above 50 deg. F. Not sure if going below would cause this or not. Any info would be great, thanks for your help. ...

Could not down load, but just read from Maritime Denmark (21/03) that a installation error caused the flooding.

Re: Emma's engine under water
Talking with a fellow engineer and we are wondering what the size of the thruster is and motor? Anyone know?
Looked on-line but could not find anything, just curious is all. Has to be big to move her and to flood the E/R that fast.
Thanks

Somewhat along the same lines, two good books on the salvaging of the WWI German High Seas Fleet. Good reading and some great pictures and drawings. While reading the books I kept thinking no computers, calculators just slide rules and a very tough bunch of workers. Cox's Navy by Tony Booth Jutland ...

Re: Assistance Request: Looking for ATB Information
I'm sure you did fine!
You seem to have passion about the industry, which is a good thing.
You may want to contact the company and just ask for information, drawings, specs on the vessel etc.
Can't score if you don't shoot!
