Re: Info on - A Total Solution for Treating Sludge and Bilge.

Hi BP. Many thank for you´r response, and your decryption on all aspects of running a Incinerator. I came across a bachelor's report from a Marine engineer, on the challenges of handling and burning sludge on a ship. I must say that monetized numbers, surprised me. It turned out, that if you could d...

Re: Info on - A Total Solution for Treating Sludge and Bilge.

Incinerator costs !!!! I presume that there are some seagoing marine engineers in this forum ! Does it sup-rice you, that the cost of - burning 110 m3 of oily sludge in a good Incinerator cost you about U.S.$ 85.000,- The average water content in the Sludge was 62% - but if the water content was lo...

SDS-20.jpg FMT is proud to present - The SDS 20 edition. This is the third SDS edition this year - it's a great achievement of such a small company like FMT. It has taken many hours of work and very little sleep - but we have a goal - and that is - to manufacture environmentally friendly products, ...

Re: Info on - A Total Solution for Treating Sludge and Bilge.

Treating drained water from Heavy Fuel Sludge, so it can be discharged through The OWS, can be a challenge. The bottles in this image is representative of the Heavy Fuel drain water - before and after we have processed the contaminated water. It is not difficult to imagine the problems the untreated...

Re: Info on - A Total Solution for Treating Sludge and Bilge.

Hi Dieselduck.

Ok - I understand - The Oil Conveyor has been tested on a lab. and passed !
The Conveyor is powered by an hydraulic motor. The hydraulic power pack is of course placed outside the tank.
The mops have different ability to get the oil to " stick " to them.

Re: Info on - A Total Solution for Treating Sludge and Bilge.

Hi - on this short video, you can see how the mops are running and how the Heavy Fuel 380 sticks to the mops. Remember that this is oil collected from the Clean Bilge Tank. On this particular ship ( a passenger ferry ) took it nearly two months for The Oil Conveyor to clean the tank, so the crew was...
