85k a year to be a teacher, that sounds like it could actually be a little fun.
I mean, you'd miss the real work, but as we know from this website - Engineers, seemingly specifically Marine Engineers, do LOVE to talk and teach what they know about marine engineering hah

Stuffing Box - built of 2 halvs Channels in the stuffing box (4-5 or so) 'scrapers' in each of the channels, consisting of...probably...3 pieces @ ~120 degrees of reach around the piston rod (or 4 @ 90, depends on design I guess) scrapers have 'lamella' inserts which are designed to 'softly' scrape ...

You say that the Separator is running as a Clarifier, this is very unusual these days. Many, many years ago it was common to put fuel through a clarifier to remove the water and then a purifier to remove the dirt. However, for the last 40 years or so the makers have preferred running the oil throug...

Steadily decreasing to the under frequency trip, and manually bringing freq up before the trip has it continue to drop steadily, yeah. And gov wasn't touched... Hrmm. Like jk said, oem parts? And injector tests were spot on... All potential air was properly bled from fuel pump over haul? No stickey ...

Re: Ships and Drones
Reading these things, it just seems so laughably childish.
However...all the rules they are breaking, are actually legitimate concerns though.
Still seems a bit much for jus'a 'lil drone, though.

Oh too bad, sorry man that's harsh. Make sure to make use of the training room, post up any questions - everyone I have seen post on here helps out great and all the math stuff I'm pretty comfortable with too, so if I could help try to answer some questions I'd give it a shot. So try to simplify alg...

What's your normal schedule while at work? I know it can be hard to study book-stuff after work, but just a question a night should have you learn that subject in a single rotation.
Do you have the books you need?
What tests will you have to do for your next ticket?

I've never seen a sensor reading N pressure in an accumulator...always had to hook up to that.
Probably not what you're thinking, so I'll keep pondering.

Re: UnmannedEnginerooms
I know the diagnostic plugs you mean, but i wouldn't be surprised if they brought that plug to it's own computer and with a program it initializes the reading process, avoiding having to physically fit the piece of kit. All engine data is available in real time watching pv diagrams, pressures, angle...
