I had this picture sent to me to get one of the pipes renewed. I was scanning through the shots quickly and had to stop to see this one in all it's glory.
Shipyard work BTW.

Make sure the cleaning water is Hot, 70*c . Then treat the tank with Aderco to prevent a water \fuel in...

Re: 3rd class oral exam questions
When you write, remember all 9 questions that you get. Write them down as soon as you walk out of the examination room. Brush up on the 6 you answered and read up on the 3 you didn't. Saying that, when I wrote my 3rds and 2nds ( many years ago), the Examiner walked in with a stack of examination que...

Re: TC Website
The MPRs are hard to find I had to search a long time the last time.

I never looked for DP barges...might be something they "forgot" to consider.

Re: TC Website
Did you find them? I eventually found them after much looking last month. Their site was always bad, but now you have to look at 6 different things to find what you need. My favorite is when it shunts you over to other government department's home page, that has a different search engine and you hav...

Anyone been there recently looking at Regulations? What a nightmare. I had to double check the Arctic Pollution Act for a little bit of info. The website is all changed. Called TC to talk to a Surveyor, ended up talking to 2 different guys, was given a third fellows phone number to call. Ran into on...

UK ships 'missing safety tests'
Is this where we are going in Canada with ship inspections and auditing of Class? British merchant navy ships could be operating below safety standards because not enough inspections are being done, a watchdog has warned. The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) is struggling to meet its target for ...

Re: Cruise Ship Lock Out procedures in the Dark ages. Why?
We've never had any of our ships there, we deal a lot with Verrault which is in the Gaspe area.
It must be chilly and snowy there.
Now that I have throughly pulled the thread of topic, I will get out. Sorry.
