By fuel pump casing, do you mean the housing that holds the fuel pumps? We have been rebuilding these units using new/refurbished fuel injection pumps. We haven't had much problem getting these assemblies as yet, but you are correct in that things are going to be damn hard too find in very short ord...

We still have 3 vessels with the old 399's. The configuration is 4 main engines each connected to a Cat 7261 gearbox, which we call the little yellow bastards. Cat does not make marine engines, they create engines that can be placed in a container and run, be it in a ship or a drill site. The company I work with uses the drug tests as a form of convienience to access work with oil companies. No one else in the company gets tested, just the ships crews. No shore based personel or management gets tested. It is also a liability issue, if the company can prove that someone tests positive...

The problem with the existing drug tests is that they do nothing to test whether the subject or worker was intoxicated at the time of the test.
