I've worked with a 36v-er, and damn those batteries were heavy! (And impossible to find replacements haha)
I'll be honest, as soon as i read the way you specifically included small and 24v and 12v engines, I had a good idea where it was going. Worked with small perkins, and 2 x 36v Cats...

Spose we'll have to wait for Arthur to pull the sword from the stone.
But also: "...not removing anything whatsoever ON THE ENGINE..."

How much potential is being put into the hull from your iccp system??
What type of anodes?
...2 year old ship...where was it built?
That's pretty impressive...in a negative way, I mean, sorry lol...
Where do you operate and where do you tie up your ship?

Exh temps?
Knocking or detonation?
Take off the valve cover and make sure everything's rocking like it should.
Keep the feedback coming. We're just narrowing down some things. There's an easy answer, just narrowing down some things.
You keep thinking about it too.

Re: wartsila 4WL20
Both suction and discharge lines were below the sump level, and there was a flap check to stop oil drainage...
Interesting.

Re: abb tps 48 turbocharger
Have the manual, but need a video reference...
Don't want to be pessimistic, bud, but you should probably get an ABB technician (and learn from he/she), rather than a YouTube video...
What position/rank are you in?
Where are you geographically, any ABB vendors near you?

I must be able to be done.
Picture?
Line diagram?
It's a pre-lube so it's +ve disp, so it's probably is above the oil level and draws the oil up...
I'm sure it's fine.
Fate fortunes the bold?
God hates a coward?
Do it.

Re: Engine cannot start
I presume all the valves, air pressure, and proper levels of fluids are in good order.
Is there any alarms given when it fails to start.
Electrical problems from a sensor.
Mechanical over speed tripped.
Interlocks or limit switches?
Does the government arm move any when it's cranking?

Re: Tattoo for engineers
Agreed, it bugs me as a sailor when non-sailor hipsters get traditional sailor tattoos... The wimps wouldn't survive on a ship - lack of safe spaces and too many microaggressions going around lol

I don't think that's a regulation.
A good practice, for most situation, but I can't see it being a reg.
