Re: CAT Problem
Reminds me of plugging tubes in scotch boiler days, " it's only a temp repair " was the norm, Years later and numerous re fits later tube " temp repair " still holding up. I can remember water leaks in the Cat saltwater pumps caused by bearing wear and the shaft running on the li...

Re: Sacrifical anodes
Just done two Caterpillar engine anode changes. As long as it earths out to be the sacrifice required to stop the tube stack being eaten alive I have always found a little smear of copper grease helpful as you do not want a tear on the ones that you have to get upside down on to change again. Re: Fire photo
Maybe a bad photo here, can't quite make out the values of the diodes, transistors, capacitators, IC's etc in order to rebuild the board. Reckon you will have to draw out and buy a new one here.

Ferry land Lighthouse v US Carrier
image.jpg JJ, your comment concerning the QM talking to Gibraltar shore station prompted me to recall a famous saying concerning navigation which funnily enough concerns a Canadian Lighthouse and a U.S. Carrier conversation. Although they deny it many think it did indeed happen. Trying to locate it...
