I wonder if you can expect a request for a "registration fee" if you apply.

Re: Stena

I have heard the ship (Stena Carron) is in really good condition.
But I'm really interested to know what the crew are like and if the pay is fair.
It's brand new vessel and pay is sweet too.

Re: FRC course for OSV's in Canada

It's much easier to deal with Survival Systems.
They will be satisfied with current TC medical, no MI medical bs, which issued by the same doctor.

Re: SIU and Engineers

There should be one strong union instead several smaller ones. Look for example Nautilus-Numast union, representing seafarers from UK and Holland. Guys from deep-sea and offshore sectors should get accepted as well.

Re: Seafarer Medical and Marine First Aid

You are always eligible to renew a training certificate in Marine First Aid. What has changed is the course content of the Marine Advanced First Aid(MAFA) and Marine Basic First Aid (MBFA). As a result of the course content change the course length was changed to effect these changes. The length of...

Re: Obtaining Canadian 3rd Enginer certificate

Hi Stanislav,
go back to Bulgaria and get your 2nd's ticket there, then go for second class here in Canada. You going to save a lot of trouble for yourself that way in the future.

Regards.
