Re: Coast Guard positions for already licensed?
Everytime I go to the government job site, I always see jobs for the West Coast for Deck Officers, Never for the East Coast. Is the West Coast Expanding or Just no one wants to stay?

Re: NTCL
Just to make one correction to Wyatt: "I also understand that the new vessel purchased, ex Sea Biscuit, ex Nanabush, now the David Amos" that vessel is the Michael Amos not the David Amos. You can now go on the NTCL web site and see a picture of it. Though they have a old picture of the Mi...

Re: FRC course for OSV's in Canada
Yeah I know, what is up with that MI Medical? Why can't you just use the TC Medical. It's just another money grab that you got to pay the doctors. It's bad enough that MI is one of the most expensive placed to attend.

Re: 40th Anniversary of the Circumnavigation of the America
I've done the circumnavigation of N. America just a couple of years ago (2006), and it wasn't on a Coast Guard Ship. A supply ship. Than again my ship did it agian in 2009, but I was only missing the section from Vancouver to Tuk this year, but I was onboard for the rest of the voyage.
