Beware!

Post by Jon »

Hi everyone, I'm not naming names but beware of a Canadian
tourism company that specializes in sailing cruises. They are international
and offer wonderful terms of employment.
When I first arrived on the east coast I did some work for them and they never paid me.
The owner gave me the run around for weeks. I just gave up in the end. Be careful when you sign on with any sailing company and make sure the phrase "We'll sort that out later" doesn't come into the conversation.

I also met an old employee (deckhand) who said they were very disorganized and described them as a "charming liability".
Just thought I'd make everyone aware.

As professionals we get our jobs right 24/7/365. Employers need to get their jobs right only once a month. PAYDAY

Then some of them cant even do that.

Choose a reputable company out there, do your market research, dont be dissapointed. There are many good companies.

Please do not post the company's name.
If anyone wants to know who it is, please take it offline to PMs or emails.
Thanks.
