Don Bryon will be giving a presentation on AXYS Technologies - the systems they build and how those systems work on Wednesday November 17 at 7PM in the downstairs lounge of the Naden Officers' Mess in Esquimalt. AXYS Technologies is located in Sidney BC and is involved with marine, hydrology , wind power and aviation technologies.

AXYS Technologies is an international leader in marine environmental technologies offering a variety of products including, moored buoys for weather, wave and sea state forecasting, as well as buoys for specialized applications such as tsunami, harmful algae blooms (HABs), and oil spill detection. A typical buoy measures wind speed and direction, atmospheric pressure, air temperature, relative humidity, solar radiation, water temperature, currents and waves. AXYS has built and deployed more than 250 meteorological and oceanographic stations of various types in over 30 countries.

I encourage and look forward to a good turn out at the November 17 meeting.
Come early for a beverage and to meet colleagues in the upstairs lounge.
Guests and spouses are always welcome.

A CHRISTMAS SOCIAL for members their spouses and their special guests is being planned for Tuesday December 14 starting at 5:30 PM in the Upper Wardroom Lounge. A light meal will be serviced and there will be a no host bar.
