PLEASE NOTE THE REVISED START TIME

Elena Corin from Rolls-Royce Canada will be giving a presentation entitled Rolls-Royce approach to LNG as fuel for coastal and short-sea shipping
LNG as fuel is a fast growing industry in North America due to availability and comparatively low pricing of natural gas.

Rolls-Royce Bergen has been manufacturing engines running on natural gas (single gas) since 1991. Over 500 engines are currently in operation on land and in sea.
On ferries, first Rolls-Royce single gas engines have been installed in 2006 in Norway. Since then, there has been a number of vessels outfitted with this type of engines. Rolls-Royce has also partnered with LNG system providers to supply all-inclusive single gas propulsion and fuelling system onboard of the vessels. Basic concepts of LNG system operation onboard a vessel will be presented and discussed during the presentation.

Guests and spouses are always welcome. Members, please bring a friend or colleague
