The Vancouver Island Branch of the Canadian Institute of Marine Engineering March Meeting will occur Thursday, March 21st, 2013 AT 7pm, in the Lower Lounge of the Officer's Wardroom, at the Canadian Navy Base in Esquimalt.

Ron van Wachem, owner and COO of Coast Lubricants, will give a presentation on recent developments in the lubricant and hydraulic oil market, with an emphasis on the changing regulations regarding pollution, and the heightened need for ensuring compliance with these new rules. How and to what degree some of the newly available lubes and fluids can reduce a firm's liability will be discussed.
