On behalf of the 2014 Planning Committee, the Mari-Tech Conference and Exhibition invites you to submit a presentation abstract for the annual Mari-Tech Conference & Exhibition to be held May 7-9, 2014 at the Hilton Hotel & Suites Niagara Falls/Fallsview, 6380 Fallsview Blvd. Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.
With your help, Mari-Tech Conference and Exhibition will present an outstanding quality conference programme. The Call for Presentation Abstracts will open on September 26, 2013. Please check our conference website regularly for updates, Mari-Tech 2014.
Submissions should be of a non-commercial, technical nature on topics related to Marine Technology. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
■Current Technological Advances
■Hybrid Electric Drives
■Salvage – what new technologies are used in salvage operations?
■Cruise Ship Safety – How are the cruise ship companies utilizing technology to make their ships safer and less susceptible to blackouts that cripple the hotel capacity of the ship?
■Hi-level research underway on drones, electric propulsion, autonomous underwater vehicles, autonomous surface vehicles.
■Canadian Marine LNG Study
■Ballast Water Regulations
■Canadian experience with Chinese shipbuilding projects
■Offshore Petroleum Development
■Commercial Shipping Topics
■Environmental Protection
■Marine Safety Management
■The Royal Canadian Navy and Canadian Coast Guard Vessel Construction Programs
■Presentations by Classification Societies, Marine Insurers and Regulators
■Arctic Environment

■Will the diesel engine survive the “Golden Age of Natural Gas” that we are now entering?”

■Where Are Our Future Officers Going to Come From”. “How Will We Train and Educate Them”, “Will Any Jobs Be There for Them"
