May Branch Spring Social & Annual General Meeting - A social evening with a buffet of appy style food for members, spouses and guests as well as a short Annual General Meeting will take place from 6PM to 9PM on Thursday May 22, 2014 in Upper Lounge of the Naden Officers' Wardroom.

Two positions that will need filling in one year's time are those of Communications Coordinator and Membership Coordinator. Both of these positions require a transition period in order that there is a smooth change-over. The Communications Coordinator looks after the branch newsletter Stand By in Western Mariner so must contact sponsors annually and prepare submissions every two months. The Membership Coordinator keeps the membership list up to date to reflect the contact information on all bonefide members of the branch.

Marine Engineering : The New Wave is a technical conference, featuring relevant presentations, marine exhibition, social and networking events. It will be held June 12-13, 2014, in Victoria, BC, Canada.
