THURSDAY 16 NOVEMBER 2017

The monthly meeting of the Vancouver Island CIMarE Branch will take place at 1900 on Thursday, 16 November 2017 in the lower lounge of the Naden Naval Officer's Wardroom near the dockyard entrance, at 1586 Esquimalt Road.

Ray Brougham, President, Rainhouse Manufacturing Canada will be our presenter on this evening

Ray started his career in 1981 as a journeyman millwright, initially in BC's pulp & paper industry then in the sawmill industry. His last posting in this field was maintenance superintendent of Northwood's Huston plant, the largest sawmill complex in North America. In 1991 Ray returned to the University of Victoria to earn a mechanical engineering degree. Soon after receiving his degree, he founded Prototype Equipment Design (PED) and has evolved his company from a prototype machining job shop into a project focused engineering company. Rainhouse Canada (formerly Prototype Equipment Design) maintains its one stop shop contract manufacturing, CNC machining, and the electronic circuit board assembly business. PED's main focus is within the defence, marine, and advanced manufacturing sectors. Ray is currently a board member of the South Island Prosperity Project (SIPP) and the Vancouver Island Aerospace Association (VIAA).

BW note; look at Rainhouse's website----http://www.rainhouse.com----it's a fine blend of humor and very interesting project information!

Members often arrive early to share a beverage with colleagues in the upstairs lounge.
Spouses and guests are always welcome at branch meetings.

Hope to see you there!
Bill Wallace, Communications, VI Branch, CIMarE
