BIMCO's new Intercultural Competence Seminar, Copenhagen, 20 September
When your team comprises different cultures, small details in your communication that people usually do not give much value can suddenly become important. Missing out on these can result not only in lost business opportunities and create frustrations on a team, but can also mean you miss out on the many advantages, working with people from different cultures creates.
By joining this BIMCO course you will learn to think in a new way when it comes to communication, and take advantage of diversity instead of problematising it. You will discover why you have the attitudes you have, and how you can use that knowledge to better understand other people, create better relationships and avoid misunderstandings.
We will discuss and work with the concept of Cultural Intelligence (CQ), which will increase your ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with people from other cultures, and you will receive tools that will allow you to implement these learnings directly in your everyday work life, and thereby actively improve your global communication, and becoming more successful in the world of international shipping.
Who should attend
