Maritime2020 to Prepare Shipping Professionals For IMO Regulations

On June 19th, the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen, will host the Maritime2020 event. The whole array of shipbuilders, shipowners, representatives of ports, maritime associations and governmental bodies will find a place at this exclusive meeting.

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) are at the point of no return when it comes to enforcing the new global fuel sulphur cap. The regulations that will see sulphur cap go from 3.5% to just 0.5% will become mandatory in two years. Maritime2020 is a business platform dedicated to tackling issues that arise from the looming enforcement of IMO’s rules. Expert speakers will engage in discussion to answer questions such as: how will new regulations affect the global market?; how much have shipowners prepared for them?; will IMO impact bunker fuel availability? And most importantly, what awaits the marine market after 2020?

Speakers from IMO, A.P. Møller - Maersk, DFDS, Euronav, Furetank Rederi, Carnival Corporation, Star Bulk Carriers Corp. and many more leading companies will take the stage and be available for networking during breaks and social activities.

With presentations over at the end of the day, participants will have ample time for informal networking during the glamorous Cocktail Reception. The networking evening’s crowning glory will be the Awards Ceremony, celebrating maritime industry’s most accomplished companies.
Wisdom Events, who have organised this meeting of minds, believe that it will be a beneficial experience for all players in the industry. The programme is exclusively designed for executive level maritime professionals to help them deal with strategic and operational challenges as well as to build partnerships between intensive sessions.

There is still time to register for this closed-door event and experience all that Maritime2020 has to offer. For more information, please visit https://www.maritime2020.com/.
