Post by The Dieselduck »

17-21 SEPTEMBER 2018 - LISBON

Portugal Shipping Week, hosted in the country’s stunningly attractive capital city, will showcase Portugal’s role as a global shipping and logistics maritime centre and highlight Lisbon’s soaring prominence as cruise ship destination and vibrant bunkering hub.
Portugal Shipping Week will comprise a week-long series of government and industry events – from conferences and seminars to port and ship visits, from round tables and training courses to stunning networking opportunities – each designed to promote business and drive global trade.

Created jointly by Portugal’s Ministry of the Sea and Shipping Innovation (creator of London International Shipping Week) it will bring together Portuguese Government policy-makers with a wide range of maritime sector stakeholders to focus on the region’s shipping, in all its different aspects.
Highlights of the week include:
• Ministerial Opening Reception
• Portugal Shipping Week Conference
• GALP Atlantic Meeting
• Seatrade Cruise Med Conference and Exhibition
• Oceans Meeting 2018
• EMSA Open Days
• Technical field trip to Sines, Portugal’s main container, refining and LNG centre
• Hands-on bunker barge and tugboat visits
…and much, much more!

The Minister of the Sea said:
“We look forward to welcoming the global shipping industry to Lisbon in September to meet and network with the leaders of the Portuguese Maritime sector, in the context of the Portuguese Government’s policy to promote the Ocean, and linked to several international maritime events that will take place in Portugal in 2018.”
