Winds of Change – Wind Propulsion’s Role in Decarbonizing Shipping

Join us for a conversation about the growing trend of wind propulsion in commercial shipping
and pathways to decarbonize this global industry.

The line-up will feature talks by:

Gavin Allwright, Secretary General of the Award-winning International
Windship Association [IWSA] http://www.wind-ship.org. The world’s leading
expert on the wind propulsion market development will present the
current opportunities, latest developments in the sector and discuss
the barriers and hurdles to still be overcome.

Alistair Johnson, CEO of Davisedo Design https://dasivedo.com
This local company is developing the ‘Tig Rig’ retrofit sail system is a way
of retrofitting square rigged sails mounted on self-contained base units to
the hulls of existing flat decked merchant ships.

FREE TO ATTEND

There will be plenty of time for debate and discussion on these issues, along with refreshments.
