Ocean Innovation 2009 - Greener Ships - Bluer Waters - will bring together key representatives from government, industry, academe and regulatory bodies to discuss and debate the present and future state of maritime shipping vis-à-vis the environment. During this two-day, single stream event representatives from the public and private sectors, along with the various regulatory bodies, will tackle the subject of Greener Ships under four sub-themes - efficiency, emissions, coatings and waste.

Ocean Innovation is now in its 7th years and has established itself as one of the prime Canadian conferences for the ocean and marine sector. An initiative by the Marine Institute at Memorial University of Newfoundland, the conference attracts presenters and delegates from across Canada and from around the world. By design, Ocean Innovation emphasizes the networking aspect and provides opportunity for exchange and building relationships through workshops and social events.
