any oral exam is about everything you know about maritime matters, everything you know about engineering, any subject in the engineering curriculum, any and all maritime laws, labour laws, acts, regulations, conventions and ship's business. the standard time allowed for a written exam is 3.5 hours, there is no such time limit on an oral exam. it could be 15 minutes or 3 hours, the time and the content depends entirely on the Examiner. Have a look at TP 2293 to see what's required.
