I was at the Ottawa Marine Technical Symposium a couple of weeks ago and there was a presentation from the University of BC on a Masters of Engineering program that they are ramping up to begin.
The NAME course will have a minimum completion of 12 months but also caters to part time students. Focus will be design or production and will include paid internship with a sponsoring company.The program will strive to provide students with a comprehensive and innovative education that will enable them to design and construct ships and other structures in the marine environment
The Presenter indicates there will be a wave tank and access to machine and instrumentation shops.
