Goodmorning fellows.
I was wondering if any of you have experience regarding the chinese G.D.F. G32 diesel engine series. I'm searching for feedback regarding reliability, spare parts, SFOC, common failures-flaws, especially any info concerning the 9G32 engine.
Unfortunately there are not many data on the net so i decided to ask in this forum.

BR,
Vasilis

It's Chinese, it's crap. Get a Detroit Diesel or a MAK.

Hi JollyJack and thanks for the reply.
I understand what you mean.

The other engine types we're looking at are:

1. CATERPILLAR 8CM 32E and
2. WARTSILA 9L 34.

I imagine the caterpillar engine is a MAK/Cat hybrid.

What do you think?

The way things are going over here they are probably buying up DD and MAK shares as we speak.
Next minute they will have full control.
Every week I learn something else here that has gone this way.
Just think JJ genuine Scotch " Haste ye Back Jobby " owned by the Chinese.
Not much hope left for us all.

I used to think Cat was the biggest piece of shit ever designed to sell spare parts.......then I met Cummins. Wartsila is a decent make, if a bit over-engineered, but considering it's origins, that's acceptable.
