Could you help me to find the answers for these questions

Dear colleagues I'm studying up for my 2nd class general engineering exam by the list of questions which I found on this site.
I found almost all answers for these questions but some of them I can't find.
Could you help me to find the answers for these questions:

01 Describe the manufacture of cast steel(Does it mean mild steel?)
Give figures for Tensile strength: % elongation: % reduction in the area and yield point for a propeller shaft.

02 Describe how you would check a tail shaft for wear down. On a 12” diameter shaft, how much wear down would you allow? What might happen with excessive wear down?

03 How would you prepare a ship for dry-docking? What precautions are necessary before, during, and after dry-docking?

04 Describe how a spare blade is fitted to a built up propeller and how the pitch is found.

05 Describe a dry type sprinkler system for a passenger vessel. How is the compressed air maintained in the system and how is the valve reset after tripping?

Hello Walker,
01= Yes cast steel is mild steel although there are usually some alloying elements to improve 'running' in the cast channels
02= With a 'poker gauge', procedure is detailed in Reeds (I think construction manual)
03= Again in Reeds although I suggest you skip this question in an exam because if you answer it in detail you will use up valuable time and if you abbreviate the answer the inspector will assume you forgot some steps
04= Again in Reeds, formula explained
05= Download the following free instructions at www.tc-vp.com/10_020_796.pdf
Good luck, Sébastien

Bonjour Sébastien!
Merci beaucoup pour ton réponce rapide.
I prepared with Reeds (General engineering knowledge for marine engineers) and I didn't find any answer for my questions there.Maybe I was not so very attentive. If you have this book, can you please qualify the page.
Construction manual is not General engineering knowledge for marine engineers,I suppose. Can I find the answer for this question in some book on-line?
What about figures for Tensile strength: % elongation: % reduction in the area and yield point for a propeller shaft. No information in Reeds unfortunately.
I will waiting for your answer.
Thanks a lot for your help.
