Please advise if you are changing to HFO operation ? Or if you are already running HFO and want more information with regards to HFO maintenance intervals ?

I have taken a position on a vessel that is running both MGO and IFO, and am looking for any information to assist me in getting up to speed on the fuel change over and the engine.

I fell over this short pdf from 2006 that give a brief introduction..

Please be advised that a lot of the interest is going in a other direction. How to comply with light fuels in specific areas and then return to HFO operation when not in SECA areas. We experience a lot of seized plunger and barrels from changes. A solution have been to carry 01 set HFO elements and 01 set MDO elements and simply change completely. But again - very dependent of area of operation :-)
