Born Aug 3/1958. He was the son of Peter and Christine (Wells) born in Whitney Pier, Sydney, Nova Scotia. With family by his side after a very short battle with Cancer at the Victoria General Hospital on Sunday Feb 8/2020. At a young age Peter moved away and joined the Canadian Coast Guard where he worked until he retired. Peter had started out as a deckhand moving up to a crane operator and the Bosun. Peter made many friends with whom he sailed with some have become life long friends. One special friend, Shelley who stood beside Peter throughout his illness like his guardian angel with whom the family will be forever grateful. The family would also like to thank Peter's friends and neighbors for always being there for him and the boys. Peter leaves behind to mourn sons Michael and Mitchell and grandson Michael. He also leaves behind his brother Clyde (Alison), Sydney, sisters Wanda (Bryden) MacDonald, Denise (Wendell) Dunn Sydney and Debbie White, Sydney as well as several nieces and nephews. With a broken heart Peter was predeceased y his wife Lyne (2008) and son Matthew (2017). Also predeceased by brother, Robert (2020).
