Re: Mill Bay Ferry retirement
Are they replacing it?
Last trip I was on it, I was the last car on and there was no way I could open a door get out of the car or even get out the window. I sincerely hoped that
a/nothing untoward would happen on the trip across, and b/ that if it did, I could reverse the car onto the ramp far enough to be able to get out.
Not in my comfort level LOL

Indeed; a few memories there....
Mine consist of a most comfortable chair in the E/R and an alarming tendency for the lights to dim whenever the tea kettle was plugged in! The 12 hour days paid pretty well, too
All good things must come to an end....
Regards,
Max

Re: Mill Bay Ferry retirement
The first time I was on it, I was hanging in the ER door listening to the telegraphs ringing as she backed out of the dock.
Honestly, I thought, what a great job. A couple of small diesels and handomatic.

The replacement vessel will be the MV Klitsa. She's a little bigger but I don't know if she's any faster.
