I havent seen any comments on here about the announcement from Maersk a few months ago, when they decided to order 20 x 18 000 TEU container vessels.
With a market which already has huge over capacity, this is a bold move. They are designed specifically for trading between the Far East and Europe.
A website to highlight these ships and some of the things they hope to achieve has been created. The sound becomes a bit annoying, so its best to look with the sound off, but the information on the site is ok.

The ships are going to be twin screw, but there wont be many people left out there in the commercial world who have sailed with on twin screw ships. This will be a whole new learning experience for those sailing on.
