From the picture, its looks like I would have had to change my underpants after seeing that in the engine room.

I just read this thriller - Big congratulations to Captain Garðastovu and his crew.

This will go down in the history books - as a heroic deed with the best conceivable outcome.

The Faroese who was involved in this Triller - both during the heroic maneuver in Suez channel and afterwards in renovation in Palermo ( Superintendent Mr. Peter Højgaard Brodersen and his crew, was in-charge of the operation to get Emma up running again ) - has created a lot of respect for Faroese labor and skill.
We at Faroe Maritime Technic are also grateful for the opportunity to be part of the renovation of Emma in Palermo. We removed approx. 42 tons of oil from the engine before it was empty into a tanker.
