Reimerswaal on dock

Post by JK »

I came across this little blurb about doing repairs on the suction pipe connection on the Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger Reimerswaal.
What made it different was the fact they only lifted the bow of the ship with the drydock (and with another ship on the dock.)

There must have been a fair bit of engineering that had to be done to calculate the strength of both the dock and the ship strength and stability in order to do this lift. Then again, they may have just got 'er done.
