Virtual Reality Training

Post by JK »

I wish I could have stood a watch like this!!
In my early days I worked as a relief engineer which over a 6 month period, meant I was on something like 12-14 different ships for about 2 weeks maximum at a time. It was incredibly stressful as I was a new engineer and going to a series of new ships and dealing with a totally different crew every ship. I basically had a escort to the engineroom, so I could find it, here's the engine, here's the panels and here's the oiler and good night.

Virtual reality training is a huge step up!
