Hmmm, but not electrolysis you say.
Maybe the accent is on the "soft " of soft wear?
In other words a manufactures fault here it would appear?
And I don't mean the engine manufactures fault.
The other, you know.
Remembering The Good Old days, when Chiefs stood watches and all Torque settings were F.T.

London, England, wastewater treatment plant ran Ruston TA gas turbines to drive generators which provided power to run the sewage plant, which provided methane to power the gas turbines. Of course, it takes a lot of shit to power gas turbines, but that's no problem in London, the place is FULL of shit!

Thats an awesome statement... =)

Its reasonably "common" to have deaths from H2S from sewage system works (especially on passenger ships), but I hardly have ever heard of procedures for this type of work. Does anyone have any, or seen any.

I know I was looking for some, a while back, but never did get a hold of proper procedures, even from landside; but obviously there is a significant risk.
