TheNavalArch launches a new product: 4-point Lashing Design spreadsheet
* 1. This Excel sheet helps you design lashing ropes for 4-point lashing of a Cargo as shown in the Figure on right
* 2. The lashing arrangement comprises of 4 lashing ropes (2 aft and 2 fwd)
* 3. This app calculates the restraining forces and torques of the lashings and compares them against the applied forces/torques
* 4. The results can be used to check suitability of the selected lashings, or to select appropriate lashing ropes
* 5. Results can further be used to select/design lashing accessories - pad-eyes, shackles, D-rings, turnbuckles etc
