Oily Water Separator Performance Survey

Start Here https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/M2LLFB5

Introduction

This survey is part of my masters project with the University of Tasmania / Australian Maritime College and is inspired by my time working on vessels as an engineer. The aim of the survey is to rate the performance of Oily Water Separators (OWS) from the perspective of the people that use them, and to then compare the rating with other technical data given during the survey. By doing this, it is hoped that methods of improving OWS system design and performance are found, which could eventually lead to less stress for the seafarers that use them.

The survey will take approximately 5 to 10 minutes and comprises of up to 33 questions. Participation of the survey is entirely voluntary and you may withdraw at any point with no justification needed. However, information from the survey is essential to the project, and your participation would be greatly appreciated!

The survey is completely anonymous - no personnel information will be taken. All data will be treated with the strictest confidence, and will be stored on a password-protected computer to be safely secured.

The technical implementation of the survey is conducted by SurveyMonkey, so data collected from you in the survey may be transferred to various countries, including the United States and other locations that SurveyMonkey has offices in, as per the SurveyMonkey Privacy Policy. This can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/mp/legal/privacy-policy/.

The project is being carried out by Gavin Henderson, and is expected to to be completed by the end of 2020. If you have any questions about the survey, please feel free to email me at [email protected].

Thank you for participating!
