Be careful with the burping. I wonder if they have seafarer size Pepto Bismo, ehehehe.

Yes indeed, thanks for your input, always glad to have it, and a Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Congratulations on the Retirement, only 30 years to go before mine!

Merry Christmas to everyone in the Forum, and I hope a good New Year to all.

I'll be in Singapore for Christmas and New Year dry-docking a couple of ships, the misses isn't too happy but I can think of worse places to be :D

Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all.
Look forward to the new year and the great posts on this web site. Have gained much by reading the posts.
Thanks to all who take the time to answer the questions and give us the years of experince that they have.

I too will be spending Christmas away from home and the wife too is not happy. But will crew change on the 31st, and fly home on the 1st. Not a bad way to start my new year. One week to go. Back to the MCR for now......

Well I was in Singapore this time last year, sitting in the Eastern Working Anchorage...........but the light display at 24:00 on the 31st was very impressive...........and the year before that Galeota Point, Trinidad, and the year before Trinidad..........so to be home in Errington BC (just up from Nanaimo where Martin lives) and all the snow, wind, rain etc is pure bliss.........its been far too long since I had Christmas Day with my kids.......and not have to worry about the " job ".

Happy New Year to one and all........and lets hope it is Prosperous........driving a desk is not that bad you know !!

Dave.

Thats true, and I have had those as well, even after only a few months sitting down............but for the most part, I am lucky I enjoy the job I have, and appreciate the things I can now do that I could not do.........but a " dirty beer " at 17:00 sure looks appealing.......
