Is that a Schatt Harding built davit?

No unfortunately not, It is a Chinese built davit and boat, a whole nuther story.

If I name Names, I will have to recommend you stay away from this make

I meant to get in sooner and comment on the shape of the ship, it must be of fairly recent vintage.
