Marine Projects Operations Manager

Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada we are a dynamic business looking to expand our fleet while only working with the most discerning clients in both the offshore and construction industry.
The purpose of this role is to ensure that all project deliverables are fulfilled. The Project Operations Manager will be the primary point of contact for all project requirements from operation side. The role will also encompass oversight of Ship Managers and technical oversight of the vessel or other company assets employed on the project.
This position is a global position ideally based within the offshore markets with extensive travel required and extended periods of time on project sites.
Contract Management
Manage contracts from the point of signature to completion
Be the point of contact for the client
Oversee operations on a daily basis
Vessel and asset oversight
Ensure vessel and assets are technically sound
Work with Fleet Superintendent to ensure spares deliveries and orders are on time and budget
Ensure maximize uptime of vessel during contract
HSE and reporting
Ensure project HSEQ policies are followed
Daily reports and communication from project site to head office
Qualifications and skills:
At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or Fleet Superintendent
Masters License or Chief Engineer License
Knowledge of Ruston and MANN engines
Experience in offshore renewables or oil & gas industries
Fluent in English with additional languages considered an asset
Works well in teams and with others of various nationalities
Strong leader and communicator
