We currently have an opening for a Customer Support Manager, Atlantic Canada (Halifax) reporting to the Managing Director. The incumbent of this role is responsible for developing the MAN Diesel & Turbo Canada Ltd. PrimeServ Atlantic Canada Aftermarket Parts and Service business. This role is responsible for the coordination of service for all vessels with MAN brand engines in Atlantic Canada, while utilizing local technicians, local service companies and expertise from other MAN PrimeServ locations. The Customer Support Manager will work closely with customers to build relationships and determine customer parts and service needs. This role will provide key leadership and business development in the execution and growth of the Aftermarket Parts and Service business in Atlantic Canada. The responsibilites of the role include but are not limited to:
Key Accountabilities:
Manage the parts and service activities to meet company objectives and customer satisfaction targets
Make recommendations and decisions concerning staffing levels, department organization structure, training and development
Lead and guide all aspects of the aftermarket parts and service function in the region
Integrate/align practices with other overseas offices and UK , France and German partners
Working with the sales, service and management teams, participate in the annual and long term business plans. Lead the execution of the PrimeServ strategy and significantly grow the business in the area by implementing “outside the box” customer solutions
Responsible for the achievement of the parts sales, margin and expense budget
Take a leading role in the planning and execution of customer specific aftermarket upgrade projects
Develop product, service and pricing programs designed to achieve aggressive sales targets and customer satisfaction
Travel to customer sites
Key Qualifications:
Post-Secondary education (Engineering or manufacturing discipline)
10+ years experience in Management of a Service business is required
Must have knowledge of best service practice
Financial and budgetary experience required
Ability to effectively manage customer relationships
Must have experience with business development to achieve high growth targets
Proficiency in PC software applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Proven ability to effectively negotiate
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Proven track record of effective leadership
Experience influencing and leading remote teams
