Chief engineer - water transport (Chief Engineer 3rd class or higher TUGBOAT) (NOC: 2274)

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: $433.50 Daily for 84 hours per week, Dental Benefits, Disability Benefits, Group Insurance Benefits, Pension Plan Benefits, RRSP Benefits
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Hamilton , Ontario (1 vacancy)

Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): 3rd Class Marine Engineer Certificate, 2nd Class Marine Engineer Certificate, 1st Class Marine Engineer Certificate, Transport Canada Marine Engineer Officer Certificate of Competency
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Type of Experience: Marine transportation company
Specific Skills: Operate main engines, machinery and auxiliary equipment on ships, Stand engine room watch, Inspect and conduct maintenance and emergency repair, Maintain records and prepare reports on engine performance
Additional Skills: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of engine room crew

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel, Willing to travel regularly, Travel expenses paid by employer, Willing to travel cross-border
Work Site Environment: Confined spaces, Noisy, In/on water
Work Location Information: Staff accommodation provided
