Supporting the Port aux Basques terminal and the vessels, the incumbent will direct all maintenance operations including supervision and scheduling of personnel and troubleshooting maintenance problems.

Reporting to the Technical Manager in North Sydney, the successful candidate will possess one of the following
•Red Seal Journeyman Certification in a Mechanical Discipline,
or
•Minimum Second Class Motor Ship or Steam Engineering Certification eligible in Canada with experience in supervising major refits,
or
•Post-secondary Bachelor or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized College or CEGEP

Le ou la titulaire, qui répondra à la fois aux besoins du terminal de Port aux Basques et des navires, dirigera toutes les activités d’entretien, assurant notamment la surveillance et la programmation du personnel ainsi que le dépannage des problèmes d’entretien.

Le candidat ou la candidate retenu, qui relèvera du gestionnaire des services techniques de North Sydney, devra démontrer qu’il ou elle est titulaire d’un de certificats suivants:
•Certification Sceau rouge de compagnon dans une discipline reliée à la mécanique
ou
•Minimum de certificat de mécanicien de deuxième classe de navire à moteur ou à vapeur admissible au Canada avec de l’expérience de supervision de grand carénage
ou
•Baccalauréat ou diplôme d’études postsecondaire en génie mécanique obtenu auprès d’un collège ou d’un cégep reconnu.
