Job Description
Ownership of systems design processes
Overall responsibility for systems integration design engineering on Naval construction programs
Leading the systems integration design engineering team and working with subcontractors
Management of design and product verification evidence for the AOPS Project Implementation Contract Design Specification (CDS) and Statement of Work (SOW)
Prepare timeline for delivery of requirements verification
Ensure verifications are completed successfully or that exceptions are approved
Manage verification and validation data and CDS and SOW documents in the DOORS system including how the data is exchanged between stakeholders
Work with subcontractors to ensure specifications are met and that requirements verification evidence is produced
Actively resolve outstanding issues between stakeholders
Desired Skills & Experience
Qualified engineering in a relevant discipline
Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in Naval design
Proven ability to lead a multi-discipline engineering team including direct employees as well as subcontractors to achieve high performance levels in a complex and fast-moving environment
Familiarity with DOORS software preferred
