Position Overview

DNV Maritime North America has an exciting new position in Montreal/Ottawa/Halifax, Canada, with an objective of further strengthening our position in the Marine market in particular with the Canadian Coast Guard, Canadian Navy (DND) both locally and within Canada. This person will have direct customer contact, attend trade shows, and will also be responsible for Key Account plans, organizing team meetings with customers and propose, negotiate and close contracts. The successful candidate will work with DNV Customer Service Managers to establish, maintain and improve customer relationships. The selected person will work closely with & report to the District Manager Atlantic in New Jersey.

Specific Duties

Conduct Key Account Planning, and execute Key Account Plans as a member of the Key Account Team
Deliver Key Account Plan results
Identify and develop commercial opportunities into business solutions within Key Account Plan frameworks using Affinitas
Manage Key Account Intelligence and Information
Coordinate customer services management activities for assigned clients, across Business Areas and Units
Manage internal processing of proposals and contribute to technical and non-technical portions of the proposals.
Develop and conduct presentations related to specific proposals or to general business development (technical publications, trade show presentations, etc.)
Manage client relations at a senior level
Travel as require

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education & Experience
§ B.Sc. Degree in Naval Architecture or a Marine Engineering
§ MBA considered an asset
§ 10+ years' experience in technical and business development within the Maritime, Naval / Coastguard and Offshore industry
§ Familiarity with technology related to Maritime and Offshore industry

Skills and Attributes
§ Strong relationship management skills; building customer trust and confidence
§ Strong team player, with excellent oral and written communication
§ Fluency in English; French language considered an asset
§ Initiative; sense of urgency; self-motivation
§ Solutions oriented
