Location: Lewisporte

School of Maritime Studies
Marine Institute - Lewisporte Regional Fisheries and Marine Center

Instructor (Marine Engineering)
(Contractual Position to November 22, 2013)

Duties

The successful applicant will provide instruction in the marine engineering knowledge courses as part of the marine diesel mechanics program located at the Lewisporte Regional Fisheries and Marine Centre, Lewisporte, NL; and perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

Experience (3-5 years) as a marine engineering officer in the marine transportation industry; graduation with a third class marine engineering certificate; an equivalent combination of education and industrial experience may be considered. Proficient oral and written communication skills are required. Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level would be an asset.

Salary: Commensurate with Marine Institute Instructors’ Collective Agreement
