Our client conveniently located on the subway line is looking for a Stationary Engineer to join their team on a long-term full-time contract that has potential to lead to permanent employment.

Working for this Provincial Government Agency you would be assisting in the provision of heating, ventilation and air conditioning throughout the warehouse.

Responsibilities and skills include:

Under the supervision of the Chief Stationary Engineer operate and maintain a 3rd class plant equipped with 2 scotch marine boilers, 2 air compressors, 2 centrifugal chillers and related equipment.
Starts and monitors equipment, meters and gauges; adjusts all equipment, valves and controls to obtain specified operating conditions.
Listens to and observes the operation of equipment to detect or isolate malfunctions and prevent damage to machinery.
Carries out scheduling maintenance (oiling, greasing, cleaning, adjustments and repairs) on various components of the warehouse including fire alarms, sprinklers, pneumatic dock levelers and routine or emergency general maintenance.
Must has a valid 4th class Province of Ontario Stationary Engineer Certificate.
Excellent communication skills.
Understand of safety requirements as per the MCCR Pressure Vessels and Operating Engineers Branch, TSSA and Occupational Health and Safety.

Position pays $21.06 to 25.45 per hour, working hours Monday to Friday during the day.
