ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking full and part time Marine Maintenance Engineer for our Niagara Falls, Canada location. Qualified candidates will work at the landing boarding areas for vessels under contract for the Niagara Parks Commission at Niagara Falls Gorge in a manner that insures the satisfaction of the crew, enjoyment of the passengers, and respect for the environment.

As part of our Marine Maintenance Engineering team and under the direct supervision of the Port Engineer executes regular maintenance and repair of our seasonally operated fleet of Transport Canada Inspected passenger vessels, supporting marine equipment, and shore side facilities. Completes daily job assignments and duties and reports status of work assignments. Contributes to the organization and storage of accurate digital and hard copy maintenance and repair records. Executes routine maintenance and janitorial of both the vessels and facilities. Follows up on jobs and consults with Port Engineer for directions and support. Records jobs status in appropriate programs and maintains records with accuracy. Responsible for welding and fabrication with steel and aluminum. Involved in a broad range of general metal fabrication projects as assigned. In the off-season year-round Marine Maintenance Engineer will assist with projects to vessels and facilities, and other special projects as directed.

Our Marine Maintenance Engineer will have some public contact; therefore we are looking for individuals who take pride in their appearance and have good guest service & communication skills and are willing to continually improve. A flexible schedule is a must. Schedule includes evenings, weekends and holidays.
