HR & Crewing Coordinator

We have an immediate opening for an HR & Crewing Coordinator based out of our Hamilton location to support crew scheduling activities and organizational training. At McKeil Marine, we are growing fast by developing and implementing innovative marine solutions with a broad customer base in challenging geographic environments.

Key responsibilities:

Maintain all personnel information in the HR database.
Assist in the coordination and communication of travel for sailing crew.
Communicate with crew regarding work schedules.
Support crew scheduling activities.
Complete reporting to provide status on key performance indicators.
Follow-up with employees and regulatory bodies regarding certifications and credential requirements
Coordinate training with relevant stakeholders and maintain appropriate documentation.
Maintain personnel files to ensure audit compliance.
Assist with various stages of the recruitment process.
Develop and maintain job descriptions.

Qualifications:

Business degree combined with post-secondary certificate in Human Resources.
2-5 years experience in a similar Human Resources role.
Well versed with Canadian employment legislation and labour laws.
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build effective relationships with all levels of management and employees within the company.
Self-motivated, high energy and the ability to deal with confidential matters.
Excellent MS Office skills particularly Excel.
Strong customer orientation.
