Service Engineer

Our client is a leader in complete lifecycle power solutions for the marine and energy markets, and they are seeking a Service Engineer to join their team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

In this role, the Service Engineer will perform workshop overhauls of Deutz 602 Fuel Injection Equipment and undertake other field and shop assignments as required. The Service Engineer will have leadership responsibility and will work with the team to lead projects to success and maximize billable service. To aid in report preparation and customer invoicing, the Service Engineer will maintain accurate notes on field and shop jobs, expense records, and time sheets. The Service Engineer will ensure the performance of high quality and efficient work in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and ISO procedures, and if required they will plan, assign, and direct fuel injection equipment tasks within assigned jobs.

As the ideal candidate, you have a marine engineering certificate, are a diesel mechanic, or have equivalent (3+ years) experience in high speed engine fuel injection equipment overhaul and maintenance. You have excellent mechanical abilities and are experienced in leading a team and managing projects. In addition, you have good customer relations and interpersonal skills and function well in high pressure situations. You are familiar with service software and reporting and have knowledge of local labour laws and occupational health and safety practices.
