Chief Maritime Executive Opportunity:

Our client is a respected, well-financed, non-profit professional technical association with more than 70 years of serving a diverse membership base consisting of 36,000 individuals in 130 countries. Due to a tremendous amount of growth over the last 7 years in the maritime segment, our client has created a new position, a Chief Maritime Executive, to strategically expand their presence and influence throughout the global maritime sector. Of interest to our client, would be executive level candidates from the following segments: shipping, offshore, classification society, shipbuilding or ships equipment.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 10 years experience in a mid to senior level executive position within the maritime industry, whereby they have successfully entered or expanded into new markets for their employers. A technical degree or equivalent is required with a graduate degree preferred. Of key importance in this role will be the manner in which a new Chief Maritime Executive leads via rapport, credibility/legitimacy, influence and a high degree of collaboration rather than authority, as our client is a member led, volunteer organization.
