Marine Operations Construction Support Lead - # 20817

Reporting to the Marine Operations Manager, the Marine Operations Construction Support Lead will provide technical support and supervision during the engineering, construction and installation phases of the Hebron Gravity Based Structure (GBS) project, as well as work as part of a specialized team which will oversee GBS marine operations during construction and offshore marine installation work.

Responsibilities:
Manage, plan, direct and support the execution of all marine construction
Liaise with the construction department to identify requirements for all marine support and marine equipment during all phases of construction
Participate in constructability activities to ensure adequate marine input
Prepare required technical evaluation for procurement and subcontracting packages
Plan and execute marine operations in a safe and systematic manner
Provide input into the development of marine operations and marine services
Manage, supervise and coordinate all on-site marine services during construction
Support 24/7 operations
Supervise marine labour (vessel, maintenance and mooring crews)
Monitor and maintain the marine flotilla (barges and moorings, tugs, passenger ferries, work boats)
Support critical marine operations (GBS mooring installation, out of dock, ballasting, solid ballast transport and installation, heavy lift vessel operations at DWS, topsides mating, tow to field)

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Master Mariner Certification
Minimum of 20 years’ experience in planning and execution of large offshore marine operations
Minimum of 20 years’ experience with mooring systems, towing and mating operations, and offshore installations
Superior technical, planning and organization skills
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well within teams
